Spencer Wylie

We had a scheduled c-section with Spencer. We decided that he was going to be a BIG baby and since I had no luck with getting Carter out at 9-1/2 lbs. on my own, we knew that this boy would be just as big and probably bigger. We were right. 10 lbs. 3 oz. CRAZY! I instantly fell in love with his chubby chunky cheeks and double chin. He’s been a sweet baby right from the beginning and doesn’t complain much at all. He was born with a little bit of stuffiness and has had to deal with some congestion, but that is about it.

He has been a delight in our home and we love feeling the joy and spirit that only a newborn can bring.

Summer 2011

Well, summer definitely came and went. I can’t believe how fast it went. We had a pretty good summer, but kind of slow also. I had the girl’s camp that kept me busy planning preparing. (I didn’t end up going, because I was so miserable, I did send Ry though) It was a great success thanks to great leaders that really stepped up and took charge.

Since I was SO large, we didn’t really get out much. Ry was good to take over with the fun activities, since I went in to Zombie mode. (I just hate being that big and pregnant) Anyway, I’ll just post a few of the pictures that represent our summer.

Abby and Baylee LOVE to dance. They really enjoy performing and getting all dressed up. I really love watching them sparkle up on the stage and develop more confidence each time they do something a little scary.

Abby loves seeing her cousin Olivia every week at dance and Baylee has made quite a few friends.

We had fun taking pictures of Abby and her cousin Olivia for their 8 year old baptism pictures. They are beautiful girls full of spunk and full of spirit. I can’t believe I have an 8 year old. Time is going so fast. Anyway, here are a few of my favorites.

Alex’s 1st Grade Program

Alex’s program was way cute. They learned like 25 songs, I was impressed the kids knew them so well. Alex is pretty animated and expressive when he signs, it is fun to watch.

Naptime is Priority!

If this girl doesn’t get her nap in, then usually by 4 p.m. she will scream, yell and just plain scowl at whoever comes across her path. She is typically little miss sweat heart, but if her nap is skipped, beware. Usually Alex gets the brunt of it, but she has been known to tell adults off and become pretty sassy.

We make it a priority to nap around our house. No phones, no doors, no people.....PERIOD! Life goes much smoother that way.

A long awaited day...

Well, my beautiful girl was baptized. It has been so amazing to watch her grow this last little while. She recieved some new scriptures for her birthday and has been reading faithfully every day. She reads the scriptures quite well. She has been learning all she can about the requirements of baptism and what it takes to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She has loved being 8 and being able to go to activity days now. She has a binder and everything (which is perfect for a little girl who LOVES lists and goals).

The baptism service was wonderful and she was supported by most of her Saxey family and Becky and Rob. We look forward to all that Abby will become as a member of the church and with the new gift of the Holy Ghost that she has been given.
