Anytime anyone touched me or tickled me, or even looked at me wrong, I would very pouty-like, say, “don’t”. So I got the nickname, particularly with my Arkansas family, of “don’t”.

Who am I kidding, I’m still pretty much a “don’t”, I’m just bigger now. What can I say?

I’m pretty sure, I got a “don’t” of my own now.

It was pretty cozy out there at 5 mile pass with Poppy’s little fire and Dennis’ Hot Chocolate and left over Christmas food.

The kids had the time of their lives playing with their cousins and riding the sleds and 4-wheelers, while I stayed close to the fire and snuggled with my baby and visited with some of my favorite people in the world.

All of the Saxey’s were able to make it, except for Rob & LaDena’s family. We stayed until dark and then went home for some warm baths and showers and warm beds. Early bedtime. Perfect Day!

We just visited, ate yummy soup in bread bowls, we played the baseball game my parents made for us and we did a little white elephant exchange.

Grandma, Grandpa, Brad, Alissa, Michelle, Brooke, M’Cayla, Mackenzie, Jenica and family, Rhett, Heather, Gavin, Becky, Rob and the girls were all there.

It was so much fun to watch the kids open their presents. They were so excited and thrilled with everything. Carter of course, loved the wrapping paper the most. The kids loved their smurf and scooby-doo characters. They each got a different one in their stocking.

I loved what was in my stocking also. Hale Center Theater season tickets. Wahoo. A pink ipod case. Wahoo. And some lotion. Wahoo. I also got some awesome perfume that I love from Victoria Secret and a big pink plush bath robe that I’m so excited about.

We got together a couple days before Christmas at Becky and Rob’s and exchanged gifts. It was a great time. We had cheese fondue and that is always a treat. If you want a great recipe by my mother-in-law, email me and I’ll send it to you. It’s the best I’ve had.

The kids did a white elephant exchange and it worked out pretty well. I think they all left happy, though little Gavin wanted his refrigerator car toy to actually work like a car and not just look like one, poor guy. :(

She has been begging me to let her get it cut for quite sometime now. She wanted to chop it up to her chin, but I compromised with 6 inches. She actually cut about 7-1/2 in. off. I like it and it has brought a lot of the curl back that I love. It’s still not like it was as far as natural curl goes, but I’ll take anything. While we were at it, I got Baylee’s cut again to get her bangs and fix more of her last do-it-yourself haircut that she did. And of course we brought Alex dude.

Cookie Cutters was a hit again. Love that place!

It was a blast this year. The kids are seriously at such a fun age. We had a harder time this year finding ornaments to pick out for each of us. I’m just so tired of all of our choices being between Dora, Princesses, Hannah Montana, Cars, Spider Man and Sponge Bob. Seriously, a mom can only take so much.

We ended up going to JC Penny’s to get them. I was looking for Nutcracker, or teddy bear, or elf, play-doh ornaments to help us remember this year with the play, but no such luck. I LOVE, LOVE Ry’s new ornament, it is perfect, since this year is the year he perfected his Smore making skills. He makes THE BEST Smore’s EVER!

That’s what he wanted to do, so we waited in the drive-up line for about 20 minutes, which was pretty good and had a great time.

I think he kept waiting for me to give him his present, so I decided to buy a few books to give him to throw him off about what I was really getting him for his birthday. He loved the new books.
