Filing papers and organizing papers has always been a thorn in my side. I decided that I’m most excited for summer break so that I can get a break from school papers. The picture represents the amount of papers that Abby would bring home from school EACH DAY. Double that when you add Alex’s papers on top of it. Don’t forget to add the weekly and the monthly calendars, plus the reading minutes, plus the lunch schedules, plus the extra activities you’re supposed to be doing with them each night to better their educational experience.

I thought I would write a little about Abby and what she’s been up to lately.

Abby is one smart girl. She has loved school and came home crying on the last day because she would miss her teacher. She loves organizing and having tasks to complete. I know I can always count on her to help me get a project going or to help get things set up. She is really talented at it.

Abby loves to draw and color and create things. She is constantly asking me to do craft projects with her and it keeps her busy for hours.

Abby loves pretty things. She would wear a dress or skirt everyday if I let her. She loves all things girl.

She gets really upset when her organizing or better yet, her delegating and direction isn’t appreciated by her siblings. That is really the only time she gets upset. She likes to have things done her way, which for the most part works out, since Alex doesn’t really care and Baylee is pretty easy going.

She is a very sweet and helpful little girl and I really appreciate her talents and sweet disposition.

Abby is a party girl and loves to have and host parties, especially with her cousins. She is very loud and gets so excited when she’s with her friends.

We did everything together and had a ton of parties and fun times together. I remember many times camping and holidays getting together and everything in the world was just right.

I’m glad my kids have been blessed with many cousins as well and I love to see them together and making memories just like I did with mine. It’s too bad that some of their cousins live so far away and they rarely get to see each other. :(

We were lucky this summer to have a small reunion with the Dennings and Rhett, Heather and Gavin, and feel blessed to live so close to the other cousins where we can get together often and have fun.

Remodeling the oven box to be their new play house.

This box kept them busy for hours, not kidding. They thought it was the coolest thing ever.

Note to self: For Christmas, get the kids boxes, hammer and nails.

Yay! I’m so excited and am looking forward to a brighter, more functional, happier place to cook for my family. A place where we can hang out and make fun memories.

Say goodbye to the crowded square trap by the sink, oven and dishwasher, where no more than one could function at a time. Say goodbye to the laminate flooring coming up, where I would catch my toe on it and do some real damage. Say goodbye broken countertop with spots all over where the paint wore off. Say goodbye to the crooked cupboards and the ugly stain that I used. What was I thinking?

Here’s to new beginnings... well, to new kitchens anyway!

I just love the stage we’re in right now with the kids. They are so fun and get so excited over every little thing. They are full of energy and passion for life and I’m just really enjoying this time with the kids.

I want to remember this time with the kids while they’re so young and carefree, innocent and so full of life. I took so many pictures with my camera, but I took many more with my heart. I know I will always remember this day because I looked at each of the kids and enjoyed in every sense who they each are and their potential. I realized that they have so much to offer the world and that they are extraordinary! The moment was gold, like the sunset. My kids are gold, my absolute greatest treasure and blessing. I am so blessed because I have them.
